How it works
The sensors on board of your vessel collect various data from motions, fuel use, gangway operations and other sources (crane, ROV lowering, etc.). Our software processes this data into relevant Key Performance Indicators and statistics which are shown in our online web application.
Using this data correctly can significantly enhance your performance. With MO4 analytics software you can learn from the past, to make your future operations smarter.
The MO4 forecasting software (we offer a standard version and a PRO version) uses a wide-ranged database, the wave forecast and user input on the specific vessel configuration, to provide an accurate and extensive forecast of the vessel motions over the coming days for every heading between 0 and 360 degrees. Experience shows that motion limits are a much more accurate way to define the manoeuvrability of the ship.
Because the data is much more accurate MO4 forecasting software lowers the risk of making critical decisions. This methodology is seen to become the standard in future marine operations.

MO4 & Jungle: Revolutionizing Offshore Operations
The offshore sector loses millions annually due to unnecessary downtime. Therefore, reducing downtime by just a few percentage points can save the industry a substantial amount of money. Accumulated downtime translates into a significant amount of wasted time that you would prefer to `invest in productive work, contributing value to the industry.

Jack-Up
Jack-up vessels, also named self-elevating platforms, play a key role in the installation and maintenance activitities for offshore wind farms.

NSR & MO4
MO4 has secured a 10-year contract with North Star for its new propriety digital twin and artificial intelligence (AI) decision support software package, which will be utilised on all four of its service operations vessel (SOV) fleet.

Crew Transfer
During installation and maintenance work on offshore wind farms technicians are transferred from a vessel to a fixed offshore structure.

Cable Lay
Weather downtime is a significant cost for the offshore industry. In this part of the offshore wind business case series we focus on cable lay operations.

Deepwater Pipelay
Deepwater pipelay activities are complex and costly operations that are strongly weather dependant. Or better said they are vessel motion dependant.

Return on Investment (ROI) of MO4
The safe and successful execution of offshore operations depends strongly on weather and wave conditions.

Improving sustainability in Offshore operations
The transformation towards more sustainable energy production is having a marked impact on the offshore sector, with a growing focus on ensuring more sustainable operations.

Interface updates
We are working hard on a new revision of MO4 that includes some exciting developments, which is expected to be released coming next month.

MO4 Acquires BMO
MO4 and BMO are proud to announce a recently signed acquisition deal that will take effect in January 2021. A strategic acquisition that enables MO4 to become a one-stop-shop for marine operational excellence.

New workability parameters for offshore operations
Offshore contracts are notoriously hard to perfect. Workability depends on various factors that cannot be controlled, the weather being one of them.

Offshore Wind Innovation Award 2019
The professional jury looked at the innovativeness, the financial and commercial feasibility of the MO4 developed software that is said to forecast the workability of vessels in offshore operations…

Who is MO4
The offshore industry is starting to change. New technology is emerging that make greater collaboration and clearer decision making possible.

Decide whether to sail out at the push of a button
MO4 has developed a fundamentally different method to determine whether it is safe to work on offshore wind farms.
